Shabby strips skirts
I made skirts for the two littlest girls in the family.
After sewing on the strips, I cut them down the middle.
This is what it looked like after I washed it.
I cut the strips on the bias so they didn't really ravel.
So easy to do and I love the look.
Easter Goodies
Filled these cuties with candy...found out that M and M's don't work.
They fall through the openings. These are cute, but really don't hold much candy.
Check out this cute little bunny choir.
They are actually finger puppets...one for each grandchild.
I made these for the grandkids, too. Inside each egg is a little reminder
of one part of the Easter story: donkey, coins, cloth, sword, bread, cross, etc.
I'm hoping the older kids will be able to use the objects to tell the story themselves.
(No sewing involved, but I included it in this blog anyways.)

Birthday gift-part 2
Made a little journal cover for Miss Z. It matches her marker roll.
Tried to make the letters look a little shabby
Just made a little pocket to slip the notebook into.
And added a velcro tab to keep it closed.

Zara's markers
I had lots of fun making this marker roll for Zara. I used this tutorial, just changing a few things since I was using thin markers instead of colored pencils. I only used scraps that I had on hand to match up each pocket with the color of the markers. I had bought this fun stripe material a while ago just because I liked it. It seemed just right for the back.

Yo-yo Kit
I have a tough time deciding what size yo-yo I need sometimes. I know, I know...they are half of the circle diameter. But for some reason I just need to see them. So I made my own little yo-yo kit. I traced circles that were 2,3,4,5,6, and 7 inches in diameter, using cardboard. Then I made a fabric yo-yo with each size labeling the diameter on the back of the fabric. Next time I need one (or two or three or ten!) I will be able to see exactly which size. I think I might make a pillow cover with different size yo-yo's. What do you think?
Spring bag
A friend asked me to make a bag for her. We picked out the material and ta dah!
I've been loving yo-yo's lately. Can you tell?
Had a few scraps left so made a clutch to match.
And someone please tell me why I can't rotate pictures sometimes! Errrrr.
