Dry erase travel books

Each page is slipped into the little photo album so the dry erase marks can be easily removed and the pages reused.  I wanted to remember my ideas, so there is picture overload ahead.  Should have taken the pages out of the book to take the pictures, but...

Love my new lampshade

I found this lamp and lampshade that had been marked way down.  I think the shade was $2.50 and the lamp was $7.99 or so.  I knew I would have to "fancy it up."  I finally got around to it today.  (The blue on the bottom is the packaging for the cord.  Not sure why I didn't take it off yet.)
I used ribbon, ric rac, buttons from my stash and flowers made from different scraps of fabric.
Might have done a few things differently, but I'm pretty happy with it.

Little clutch

A friend asked me to make a clutch just big enough for a few credit cards and car keys.  Love the way it turned out.  I did change the zipper pull after I took this picture.  Just didn't like it, so I used green ribbon with brown dots which I liked a lot better.  I don't usually add a zipper pull but was in the mood this time. I actually tried about 3 or 4 different methods before I settled on one I liked.  Such a little detail...crazy!

What a good day!

I finished my first two little bags like this.  I like the boxy bottom that makes them stand up.  One might be for me.  The other is going to a friend who was looking for a place to keep her quilting gadgets like thimble, scissors, needles...

And then another friend called me to come over.  And look what she showed me!  Tons of old feed sacks.  I went crazy over them.  She shared them with me!!!!!  My head is full of ideas.

 One of my favorites...
This one still has the tag with directions for removing the writing...
Another favorite...these dogs are pretty big.  Maybe 5 inches...
Wouldn't this make pretty napkins?  I'm in love.
