Love my new lampshade

I found this lamp and lampshade that had been marked way down.  I think the shade was $2.50 and the lamp was $7.99 or so.  I knew I would have to "fancy it up."  I finally got around to it today.  (The blue on the bottom is the packaging for the cord.  Not sure why I didn't take it off yet.)
I used ribbon, ric rac, buttons from my stash and flowers made from different scraps of fabric.
Might have done a few things differently, but I'm pretty happy with it.

Little clutch

A friend asked me to make a clutch just big enough for a few credit cards and car keys.  Love the way it turned out.  I did change the zipper pull after I took this picture.  Just didn't like it, so I used green ribbon with brown dots which I liked a lot better.  I don't usually add a zipper pull but was in the mood this time. I actually tried about 3 or 4 different methods before I settled on one I liked.  Such a little detail...crazy!

What a good day!

I finished my first two little bags like this.  I like the boxy bottom that makes them stand up.  One might be for me.  The other is going to a friend who was looking for a place to keep her quilting gadgets like thimble, scissors, needles...

And then another friend called me to come over.  And look what she showed me!  Tons of old feed sacks.  I went crazy over them.  She shared them with me!!!!!  My head is full of ideas.

 One of my favorites...
This one still has the tag with directions for removing the writing...
Another favorite...these dogs are pretty big.  Maybe 5 inches...
Wouldn't this make pretty napkins?  I'm in love.

Pretty bottles

I needed some table decorations for a ladies' luncheon today.  I truly didn't know what I was going to do until yesterday when I saw a post for dressed-up bottles.  I had so much fun making them.  There are lots of pictures.  I wanted to remember in case I did this again.

And now they're resting comfortably on the kitchen window sill.

Another teaser...

Been working on very fun project for the g-kids for the long summer road trip.  Just a little teaser.  Hope they enjoy it as much as I am enjoying putting it together.  Hee hee.

Long time, no post

I haven't posted for a while, but not because I haven't been crafting.  I just hadn't taken time to take pictures.  So here we go!
Work in progress...this hourglass baby quilt.  These are strips, waiting to be pieced together.  The pieces are teeny.  The little colored square will be 1/2 inch when finished.
Remember the teaser with this fabric?  It's now a bean bag chair.  Very, very easy to make.  It has a lining and a zipper so you can take the outside off to wash.  It's headed out to the basement in Montana.  I want to make one more.  Don't ask how much the stuffing cost!!
I've said before that I love everything on the nanaCompany blog.  I love her colors, her fabric choices and her projects.  I found this little doll blanket project there and couldn't wait to see if I could make it.  I see now she has a pattern for the embroidery.  These squares finish off at 2 inches.  I think I must make more!

Colorful Bag

It looks like the flower is in the middle of the bag, but it's not really.
You can't see it but the inside of the bag is the bright pretty green
 with a flowered pocket.
