I saw this idea in a book and just adapted it. I cut out 4- 4" paper squares
to use as a pattern and sewed different widths of fabric strips on the diagonal.
After trimming the pieces, I sewed them together for the front
and then tore off the paper. (If you use a small stitch, the paper tears off easily.)

For the backs, I just used four different fabrics and pieced them randomly.
Inside I put a layer of InsulBrite and another layer of cotton batting.
I machine quilted in a concentric circle pattern
and bound them with a 2 1/2" strip doubled.
Fun, quick project! Want to make lots more.
