Oh Christmas Tree

I needed table decorations for a ladies' luncheon at church, so I decided to make these little trees.  I saw this idea some time ago, but I don't remember where.

 I tore strips the width of my material.  I used 2-inch strips at the bottom, 1 1/2-inch strips in the middle and 1-inch strips at the top.  I ran a single gathering stitch along one edge, ruffled up the pieces, and hot glued them on starting at the bottom.

For the cone shapes, I just used poster board which I cut and stapled/taped into the shapes.  

 I sorted through my stash to find a variety of ribbons and trim for the bows at the top.  Fun, quick, and easy project.
