I found a picture of this pin cushion on Flicker and copied the design for our granddaughter. She is interested in sewing and I am excited to encourage her. I was happy to find the neat scissors at JoAnn Fabrics.
I wasn't sure what to use for the filling. I decided to use a large can lid at the bottom for support. Then I added silica sand until it was about half full and finished with quilt batting, stuffing it in tightly.
